Oh, and it's still hot!

Must have been over 38ยบ today.
It was 37 when Eli and I went down to the river at 10am. It's still 32 inside the house now, too hot to sleep, but I need to get an early night tonight.
Shelley's back from a week in NZ tomorrow, and I have a software upgrade to do tomorrow night (starting at 1am).

Eli's had a few bleeding noses this week, and I'm guessing its related to the heat. Hopefully the rain that I can now faintly hear on the roof means that another storm is comming and the temperture will drop down.

The New Car has arrived

On a hot and wet Friday afternoon, Eli and I made our way up to Subaru to pick up the new car. We were 'sposed to be there at 3:30, but we missed the 3pm bus (it wizzed past us while we were standing in the minimal amount of shade from the bus stop), so we didn't get there until 4pm.
We had to wait a while because we'd missed our spot, and we had to go through the last of the paper work etc.

Finally we got taken through the "Majic doors" to see the new car - all clean and shiny...

We'll that didn't last. The heaven's opened up about the same time as Eli opened the door so we could drive out. By time we got home the car was as dirty as the one I'd dropped off.

So, today we headed down to Warrandyte to take Boots for a swim in the river. The car is really dirty now, but at least the rubber matts in the back have stopped Boots from making a mess of the carpet, and he doesn't slide arround so much!
